Tommy founded his first company in university and successfully exited it in 2013. His entrepreneurial mindset made him join Uber as one of the first employees in Germany. He developed a native attraction to innovative ideas and business models and has been an active business angel for the past years. Tommy not only holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, he is also a certified beer brewer. If he is not busy hunting for deals, you’ll find him surfing at Munich’s riverside spot Eisbach or challenging himself and others at Muay Thai.

Benedikt von Schoeler

Benedikt joined Vito Ventures from HgCapital, a leading European private equity firm focusing on technology, software and tech-enabled services. Prior to this he worked in M&A and Internal Audit. He holds a Master in Business and Economics from University of St. Gallen as well as a MBA with distinction from INSEAD. Next to his passion for investing in the tech space and working with management teams to grow cutting-edge technology firms, he is a passionate skier and mountaineer and loves everything that has to do with wind and water.

Herbert Mangesius

Principal

Herbert joined Vito Ventures after finishing his doctoral studies on mathematical systems and network theory at the Technical University Munich and at the Université Catholique de Louvain. He contributed to state-of-the-art knowledge in smart grid and multi-agent consensus problems and lectured on dynamical systems and control theory. He gained further work experience with Siemens, Deutsche Telekom Laboratories and E.On Energy. Herbert studied engineering science at the Technical University Munich and at the École Polytechnique, Paris. Additionally, he was awarded an MA honors degree from the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) in Munich. He served in the German army as an alpinist, is an active sportsman, and passionate about cybernetics and information-enabled innovation in science, society and technology.
